Position:  Part Time Transport Officer


The Montague County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Transport Officer with a part time salary of $15.00 per hour working 24-32 hours per week. Due to the position being part time the transport officer will not receive insurance or benefit from the county.

Transportation Officer is responsible for the safe and secure transportation of inmates, must be a licensed Peace Officer, will be responsible for ensuring that the transportation vehicles are in safe and correct working order, will conduct pat-down searches, complete required paperwork for transports, will ensure all safety and legal measures are followed at all times, will transport and oversee inmates in court, doctor appointments, MHMR appointments, while doing so in a safe manner.   

High School diploma or GED

Valid Driver’s License

Extensive background investigation, physical examination, psychological evaluation, drug screen and review board.

Uniforms provided.
