COVID-19 NOTICE:
As part of the unprecedented response to coronavirus in Texas, and in light of the Governor’s recent disaster declaration, the Records Department of the Montague County Sheriff’s Office is unable to access its records to respond to public information requests at this time. During the period this notice is posted, the Records Department is not considered available for routine processing of records request for purposes of the time deadlines under the Texas Public Information Act.

If a new request:
Your request will be received on the Montague County Sheriff’s Office, Records Department’s next open business day.

Existing requests:
Your request is paused and will be set back to processing on the Montague County Sheriff’s Office, Records Department’s next open business day. We would additionally add this language to the notice posted on the website:The Office of the Attorney General has provided an update on the calculation of business days and COVID-19.

All open records requests are processed Monday thru Friday from 8:00AM - 5:00PM and will be returned within 10 business days.
